Fun Monday

Another start of the week (huzzah!) and another excuse to post something fun/innapropriate/amusing in regards to weddings!

I've read up a little on wedding cakes and toppers. Wedding toppers are more an American trend that started in the 1950s which depicted the bride and groom in formal attire.

That's 50 years ago. Takes a couple of generations to completely change something that simple! Now you get cake toppers of dogs "kissing", something regarding the couple's hobbies or even the bride pushing the groom off the cake. Not all cake toppers are weird or funny, some have a more traditional reason for being a little different to the status quo. I read up that some Mexican weddings may have two skeletons instead, for example. But this is not usually the case for most cake toppers.
So today's fun is Unusual Cake Toppers:

Ever wondered why the bride has to come in last down the aisle?

Hmmm... does this remind me of someone?

Boy is still looking for his Godzilla-King Kong one... lets hope he never finds it.

And no, this isn't what he wants. He wants a Godzilla dressed as a bride (horrid pun intended).

Next one is very puzzling. Ladies and Gents, Mermice...

... and no, I kid you not.

This next one is actually REALLY cool!

Must be a real mission to cut the cake though.

For the sifi lovers and/or aliens (both legal and illegal)...

Quite an intricate cake, actualy....

This is the cherry on top (hehe).

I think that we're sticking to topping-less cakes...
